✔️ Lil’ Peep Hip-hop’s goth angel sinner is coming to Ybor. Gustav Åhr — a 20-year-old Long Islander with face tats and quirky hair — wears influences like Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance on his sleeves, but fans have flocked to the trap-tinged dream-pop of a new album (Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1, released in August), making this one of the most intriguing shows of the year. (Orpheum, Ybor City) INFO

Chris Tomlin w/Matt Maher Jesus freaks rejoice, Grammy-winning worship leader Chris Tomlin is headed out on his “Good Good Father” tour, which is rolling into the Sun Dome in support of a new album (Never Lose Sight), which topped Billboard’s Christian Albums Chart after its release just over a year ago. Canadian Christian contemporary crusader Matt Maher opens the show. (USF Sun Dome, Tampa) INFO
✔️ Citizen w/Sorority Noise/Great Grandpa No offense to Midwestern punk group Citizen (supporting an excellent brand new LP, As You Please), but we’re super-stoked on seeing Hartford, Connecticut emo-revivalist outfit Sorority Noise crash into Crowbar showing off its own new, loud and triumphantly sad record You’re Not As _______ As You Think, released in March. Even the album’s leftovers — released as a surprise 7-inch a month ago — are heartachingly good, and the addition of Seattle grunge-pop quintet Great Grandpa kind makes this a must-see. (Crowbar, Ybor City) INFO
✔️ Moffitt Rocks Tampa Bay feat. 311 & Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe Moffitt Cancer Center wins when Midwestern rock and rap group 311 brings its fall tour’s only Florida stop to the Cuban Club courtyard in celebration of a new album (Mosaic, released in June) and a new beer (“Beautiful Disaster,” an 11.3 ABV Imperial IPA dressed up with kumquats and mosaic hops) brewed in collaboration with Ybor City’s own Rock Brothers Brewing. Karl Denson brings the muscular sounds of his Tiny Universe jazz-fusion project (which just played Gasparilla Music Festival) to open what is one of the most interesting and eclectic bills hitting the Tampa Bay area this weekend. (Cuban Club, Ybor City) INFO
✔️ WMNF presents British Invasion III w/Talk To Mark/Rancid Polecats/Robert Wegmann and the Lint Rollers/Ted Lukas/Parson Brown/more Fresh off the success of its sold-out Tom Petty tribute, Bay area community radio station WMNF 88.5 FM gets back into Skipper’s Smokehouse for an eight-hour jog around the music of UK acts like Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Queen, the Beatles and Rolling Stones. A who’s who of local favorites (including Robert Wegmann and the Lint Rollers, which’ll tackle Humble Pie) makes up the bill, and we’re wondering if the kitchen is going to be frying up some fish and chips for this one. (Skipper’s Smokehouse, Tampa) INFO
Shelby Lynne w/Allison Moorer Songwriter sisters Shelby Lynne & Allison Moorer are in Clearwater this weekend playing songs from a new album (Not Dark Yet, released in August), which is the duo’s first-ever collaborative album. Expect lots of covers (Not Dark takes on cuts by Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Merle Haggard and even The Killers and Kurt Cobain), but don’t be surprised if you’re in tears after the siblings show off the talent that has earned them Grammy and Oscar nominations galore. (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater) INFO

✔️ Emo Night Tampa: November Edition w/Tanner Jones/Crate Bros. You Blew It!, an Orlando band that played guardian to the fourth-wave emo revival, is no more, but Ybor City is still poised to get an appearance from frontman Tanner Jones just over a week after the band played its last Cigar City show as part of Big Pre-Fest in Little Ybor (a two-day punk rock party that takes over several venues every year). Jones — whose band sounded like it came straight out of the ‘90s emo circuit — is guest DJ-ing at this one, and will presumably play all of the genre classics that influenced his band’s sound, but we’re hoping he self-indulgently drops more than few cuts from You Blew It’s storied, and ambitious catalog for the Emo Night Tampa faithful. (First Chance Last Chance Bar, Ybor City) INFO
Pickpocket EP Release (and final) show w/Trashcan/Bimbo/Permanent Makeup Can a band's EP release show also be its last? Apparently so, and Pickpocket is going to pull that off tonight at Mojo Books & Records when it is joined by an Atlanta touring outfit (Trashcan), Permanent Makeup and Bimbo. (Mojo Books & Records, Tampa) INFO
✔️ 95.7 Beats By The Bay w/Ja Rule/Ashanti/T-Pain/Mase/Brandy/Mario Fans of Bay area urban radio are living the dream this weekend thanks to Wild 94.1’s Last Damn Show (happening on Friday in Tampa) and this, 95.7 The Beat’s outdoor party featuring a set from Ja Rule and Ashanti, former Bad Boy Records golden boy Mase, R&B superstar Brandy and one of Florida’s best, and undersung, hip-hop exports T-Pain.
