✔️ Vince Staples w/Buddy Travis Scott may be fresh off the Super Bowl and set to headline Tampa’s big hip-hop arena show of the spring, but don’t sleep on this one from outspoken Compton rapper Vince Staples, whose feature-laden third LP, FM!, plays like a move toward the mainstream that doesn’t compromise on the 25-year-old’s spitfire wordplay and left-of-center themes like black power and street violence. Fans might want to get to the venue early, too, since another young Compton rapper, Buddy, is set to open in support of a debut LP, Harlan & Alondra, which inspired the New York Times to call Buddy “one of [2018’s] brightest insurgents.” (The Ritz, Ybor City) INFO

Poppy w/Kailee Morgue/Jaira Burns/The Pauses It’s OK to not understand what a Poppy is, but for the uninitiated, know that this pop phenom (real name Moriah Pereira) was born on the internet when she teamed up with Nashville producer Corey Mixter for a viral hit called “Poppy Eats Cotton Candy.” She’s won a Streamy award (recognizing creators of the best in online video), and we’ll see if all that online attention turns into real-life fans at the midweek show where Orlando indie-pop band The Pauses opens the show. ✔️Terroir008: deep heart's core w/Baljinder Sekhon/Tyler Kline/Shelley Washington/Vera Ivanova Terroir teams up with an ensemble led by USF pianist Eunmi Ko for another event at the Tampa Museum of Art. There’s no dress code, in keeping with the series' disdain for traditional classical-music rigidity, and attendees will have a chance to walk both Yayoi Kusama’s “Love Is Calling” and Robert Indiana’s sculpture retrospective before the five-course dinner created by SaltBlock Hospitality. Read more in our profile with Terroir co-founders Susanna Hancock and Tyler Kline. (Tampa Museum of Art, Tampa) INFO

Michael Bublé If you loved Michael Bublé’s Super Bowl commercial, then this show from the Canadian crooner has been on your calendar for a while. It’s the opening concert of a much-anticipated U.S. tour, but we’re pretty sure the 43-year-old cutie pie was born perfect, so don’t expect any first-day mishaps at this one.
