The Tampa Bay Ukulele Society’s second annual Uka-Palooza (stylized “Uka-PALOOZA”) is a one-day celebration open to both "ukers" and non-ukers with admission to the Florida State Fair (more than 2,000 attented the palooza in 2019.) At the festival, visitors can attend a free make-and-take cigar box ukulele workshop and two free workshops with Lil Rev (Marc Revenson), who’s written nearly a dozen best-selling music instruction books for Hal Leonard.

Creative (stylized “CrEATive”) Mobile Kitchen also hosts a live “Spam-Off” cooking contest where chefs have 20 minutes to put together a recipe with the Hawaiian-meat-treat as the main ingredient (amateurs cook 10:15 a.m., followed by professionals at noon.)
