Robert McCormick is one of America’s most undersung advocates for new music, and his hyper-progressive avant-garde new music collective, McCormick Percussion Group, will be the driver behind the world premieres of new works by composers like Alessandro Annunziata, Eduardo Costa Roldán, Emily Koh, and Baljinder Sekhon.

You probably can’t throw a mallet down the hallway at USF’s School of Music without hitting someone whose life has been touched by the generosity of McCormick, and this Sunday evening of music at the University of South Florida’s concert hall is a good chance to see the local hero give a pre-concert talk before leading the performance.
