If it’s Friday and if you’re with friends who haven’t been home in a while, then be downtown because Straz’s free outdoor show and this block party will show that this city’s growth is about more than overpriced condos.
“Bloom" is bigger than ever this month thanks to solo and group art exhibitions at Cafe Hey (Eve Jackson, inspired by the elemental factors of the feminine archetypes), Mergeculture (Floridians NNeka Jones and Christopher “Cooli Ras” Clark alongside Denver’s NNeka Jones all exploring the African Diaspora), Rialto Theatre and Magnanimous Brewing.
And the music features another stacked lineup of local hip-hop and beatmakers including “Vanity” rapper Sir.Perf (pictured). Live painting, yoga and a large market make “Bloom” a must-visit this Thanksgiving weekend. You can walk up on the party, but donations are being collected, too, so talk to someone about it to pitch in and keep the party going,
