DieAlps! shed three members since it last released an album (2017’s still-excellent Our City), but the Tampa indie-rock favorite is back with a collection of the band’s most personal songs to date. The tunes are built around guitarist-singers (and married couple) Connie and Frank Calcaterra who sing about anxiety, depression and their marital struggles the way the rest of us write about them in a journal.

More Important Things isn’t due until November 22, but you can get a sneak peek when DieAlps! opens for Texas power-pop band Lola Tried, which is touring behind its self-titled 2018 album.

Do not park at Cappy’s, and no beer or beverages allowed inside the record shop.

DieAlps! w/Lola Tried. Tues. Oct. 29, 7 p.m. Suggested $7 donation. Microgroove, Tampa. INFO.
