The intersection of music and video games should be quite obvious to anyone who reads CL's music section, and we're glad that Tampa producer Wally Clark is helping us continue that tradition by talking about his recent beat tape, Mario Wave.
The eight-track homage to 8-bit composition was posted to Soundcloud a few months ago and might get some shine at a Street Fighter tournament tonight.

"I'll most likely do another video game based project," Clark, 33, told CL in a message. "I have a lot that I've wanted to do or started and never finished. I also have a bunch of old ones on datpiff that I think about redoing with a more modern style."
Tonight the Puerto Rican-born Florida boy will man the deck for the Street Fighter 2 Alpha money tournament, but we're not sure if he'll take a break from DJ-ing to compete.
"Street Fighter 2 Alpha is my favorite from the series. I haven't played it in a long time, but I can always hold my own in any Street Fighter," he added. "I've been a fan since the arcade days." Clark hopes to tour more, and do more live beat sets in 2017 and might even put out a new producer album.
In the meantime listen to Mario Wave below and get more information on tonight's Digital Deathmatch at Crowbar in Ybor City by checking out our daily live music roundup.
