Four years ago, life was simpler: there were no masks, Ryan Adams was getting ready to headline Gasparilla Music Festival and his fans were still in the dark about his sleaziness. More important, at least in the Tampa Bay music scene, Discord Theory was born.

In those four years, the punk band has continuously put out some solid tunes including the 2020 singles “Stranded” and “What’s Done is Done”—the outfit even killed it it at GMF themselves last year. Guitarist and lush vocalist Zach Short opens the limited-capacity gig where advance tickets are recommended.

Discord Theory/Zach Short. Fri. Feb 19, 8 p.m. $15. Hooch and Hive, Tampa. INFO
