A medium-shot, dimly lit, live performance photograph of Tampa songwriter Chriss. They are seated, playing a light-blue electric guitar, and are wearing headphones, a black tank top, and dark pants. The background is shadowy and industrial, featuring corrugated metal wall panels and a piece of audio equipment on a table to the left. The scene is illuminated by a warm, focused light on the artist, creating a candid, moody, and professional atmosphere.

Beatsnchill continues to platform emergent Tampa Bay area artists, even outside the producer-rapper space.

This month at The Bricks in Ybor City, the collective welcomes Chriss, a songwriter whose new EP blurs lines between darkwave (“Beauty In Machinery”) and shimmery dream-pop (“In My Dark”).

The showcase is led by rock scene elder (on this bill at least) Pilot Jonezz along with rock-pop genre-jumper Aliqua, new-wave-flavored punk band Cozy In the Black, rapper YZM, and songwriter-selector Fessi K.

There’s no cover to see Pilot Jonezz, Cozy In The Black, Chriss, Aliqua, and YZM at The Bricks in Ybor City on Friday, June 19.
