Nude Tayne has been popping up in our periphery lately thanks to composer Nathan Anthony Corder — who played a hand in a new album by St. Pete’s Elizabeth A. Baker — and Career, a band CL profiled in February, which occasionally has Nude Tayne drummer Leo Suarez in its lineup. The Tayne, however, is kicking the can around mighty hard for a summer tour that starts at Miami’s Psych Fest on Saturday, wiggles up through the state of Florida and into Atlanta before wrapping in Tallahassee next Thursday.

This Bay area show at Seminole Heights’ storied record shop Microgroove finds the group supporting Everyday Business, a brand new, seven-track album of weirdo rock and pop that finds Suarez, Corder, and vocalist Laith Abdel tumbling over just under 20 minutes of splendorous off-time grooves and noise. We’re also excited to see how nerve-wracking it gets when Lauren from local CL favorite Reality Asylum starts to slam around the shop.

Nude Tayne w/Reality Asylum, Sun. June 24, 5 p.m. $7. Microgroove, 4906 N. Florida Ave, Tampa. facebook.com.
