If you’d like to see and hear what it’s like to have the pages of Creative Loafing come alive, then you might want to be at Hooch and Hive (“Best New Sound Sytem”) on Friday when Basement Sessions taps Best of the Bay-winning musicians (rapper Fre$h P, jazz trio La Lucha) and visual artists (Conrad Garner, Cory Robinson) then asks them to transform this University of Tampa-area venue into the most happening party in town.
Basement Sessions is a must-peep for a complete Friday night, and we won’t blame you for wanting to stick around for the duration.
Check out the new collab LP from Vern Sr. and Deezy Wee the Reaper (AKA Sparkxy and Dutch) to get warmed up.
