Captured from behind looking down the interior aisle of a wooden streetcar car, a performer in the foreground on the left wears an orange baseball cap and dark jacket, raising his right hand while holding a microphone near his face. Opposite him on the right, another musician sits behind a portable audio setup on wooden benches, while passengers seated along both sides of the aisle watch the performance under warm interior ceiling lights.

Fall is here on the calendar, and that means the return of Tampa’s famous concert on the streetcar.

Launched eight years ago with a show by Have Gun, Will Travel, the rolling concert series programmed by the Gasparilla Music Foundation puts homegrown artists on a TECO Streetcar that runs between Centennial Park in Ybor City and the Fort Brooke Garage across the street from Hattrick’s on Franklin Street.

This Friday, Tampa rapper J.IN.X and producer Frxxmn will board the trolley in Ybor City before it departs at 6 p.m. for a two-hour hip-hop set. Riders can hop on and off at their leisure.

The TECO Streetcar Live series returns on the fourth Friday of every month through May before taking a break in the summer months. Highlights on the agenda include longtime Tampa DJ Jay Marley (Oct. 23), the eclectic Sam Bips (Dec. 18), poppy R&B & jazz band Whataboutmomma (Jan. 22), and Americana outfit Vision Crystal (Feb. 26). See the 2026-27 season schedule below.
