A close-up, outdoor portrait of rapper Milli Moon. They are looking directly at the camera with a confident, composed expression. They have long, dark-green-tinted locs styled with side-swept bangs framing their face. They are wearing a neon-green, short-sleeved shirt with a black collar and a delicate silver heart-shaped pendant necklace. A small, subtle nose stud is visible. The background is a soft-focus, nighttime outdoor setting with string lights and dark, blurred foliage, creating an intimate, moody atmosphere.

For 18 years, Aych’s Crowbar open mic was the clubhouse and proving grounds for anyone who wanted to make a lane in the Tampa hip-hop scene.

While “Da Cypher” called it quits in 2024, the rapper and promoter born Hansel Wilson returns to the venue for one last open mic that includes guests like Arkansas rapper, North Carolina songwriter and producer Chxrm, plus homegrown emcees like Kaseflow, Tampa’s queen of trill Milli Moon, and singer Lyricah Love whose track with Krazy (“No Time”) is a lowkey 813 classic.

Tickets for Aych’s All Black Showcase at Crowbar in Ybor City on Wednesday, June 17 are $10 at the door.
