Jeff Schorr’s taste is incredible, and we’re not talking about the art hanging around his Craftsman House Gallery bungalow. While the art is nice, we’re talking about the St. Pete art scene staple’s musical tendencies, which have always been golden.

His website describes Sam Baker as “Maybe the most captivating songwriter in America,” and while that was a borrowed quote from a Texas music magazine, it was enough to drive us to cozy up with the Texas songwriter whose songs led NPR to dub Baker a beautiful and broken “artist worth waiting for.”
