While toying around with reggae, classic jazz, and heartland rock-esque sounds and tempos,The California Honeydrops live up to their name for Keep On Diggin’. The Oakland outfit’s 10-tracker has the soul of a ‘70s Stevie Wonder record, a horn section that could have been imported directly from E Street, and organ bits punchy enough to make the drive home from work just a little bit bearable.
