Following a pretty successful first full year as a band, The Dirty Janes said a December gig with Have Gun, Will Travel would be their last for a while. A month must be a long time for the band formerly known as Sick Hot, but considering how Nik Wilson and friends finished tracking their first few EPs right before Christmas (the songs have been in the works since Sick Hot was still a thing), a breakโs a break.
Wilsonโs Robert Plant-meets-Black Crowes pipes appear on the bandโs latest party anthem โShake It On Down,โ which might as well serve as the opening track at its first show of the year happening at Bayboro Brewing Co., a fast-rising St. Petersburg venue with an impeccable sound system.
