The Florida Orchestra’s patriotic ‘Stars and Stripes’ concert is this weekend in downtown Tampa

Tampa Bay’s beloved Florida Orchestra is preparing to go on summer vaycay after yet another prosperous season, but first it’s putting on the red, white and blue for a Saturday concert in downtown Tampa.

On its 2021-22 outing, TFO gave the music of Paul Simon an orchestral touch, saluted film soundtrack legend John Williams on May the Fourth Be With You, and even backed Josh Groban at a gala performance at the Mahaffey Theater.

On Memorial Day weekend, Daniel Black conducts the Orchestra through patriotic standards at the Straz Center.
Whether you’re feeling ‘Merica or not, you might as well support the Florida Orchestra one last time before its return in October.
