Tampa Bay’s beloved Florida Orchestra is preparing to go on summer vaycay after yet another prosperous season, but first it’s putting on the red, white and blue for a Saturday concert in downtown Tampa.

On its 2021-22 outing, TFO gave the music of Paul Simon an orchestral touch, saluted film soundtrack legend John Williams on May the Fourth Be With You, and even backed Josh Groban at a gala performance at the Mahaffey Theater.

On Memorial Day weekend, Daniel Black conducts the Orchestra through patriotic standards at the Straz Center.
