Andy Summers’ minimalist guitar sound and texture is a fixture in the lives of multiple generations of music fans. For one night only, the 80-year-old Police man makes his mark on Tampa Bay, and invites those fans to take a look at some of his other art, too.

Tickets to see Andy Summers play the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre on Sunday, Dec. 10 go on sale Friday, July 14 at 10 a.m. and start at $44.50.

Summers—a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who’s enjoyed a robust solo career since his time with The Police, and published photography books—lands at the Cap for his “Cracked Lens + A Missing String Tour,” which is a continuation of his solo projects where he projects sequences of his photography with music.

“It’s just me, that’s the point of it. One guitarist, a large screen, and a lot of photographs,” he told WWFX, adding that he’s been working on the show since before the pandemic.

There are three other Florida shows on the itinerary (Dec. 7 in Ft. Lauderdale, Dec. 8 in Ponte Vedra, Dec. 9 in Ft. Pierce), with the Clearwater gig closing out the tour.
