Voodoo dolls (49 of ‘em to be exact) will be on display when Theresa Crout brings the fruits of her 2019 social media art challenge to The Bricks Ybor (read more here).
Song lyrics from bands like the Rolling Stones and even Bay area Americana outfit Have Gun, Will Travel inspire each of Crout’s “VooDood” dolls (which also appear on canvas and in sculpture form), and every one of them has an accompanying art piece, too. Matt and Daniel Bruke of Have Gun will even play music in the courtyard to celebrate, but don’t poke them with safety pins, OK?
