Datsik with Ookay, Drezo The show must go on, and in this case, it was supposed to happen at Amphitheatre on Saturday. Instead, the “Spring Loaded Tour” lands at The Ritz the following Sunday as led by Canadian trap and bass music DJ/producer Datsik, who brings laser beams, state of the art audio and a fresh Darkstar EP featuring guest spots by Trinidad James and Travis Barker, among others. Being As An Ocean with '68, Capsize, Listener, Movements, Milestones Being As An Ocean is currently on the road behind a 2015 eponymous third album that has earned some positive press from rags like New Noise Magazine, which hailed the California melodic hardcore outfit for their unified sound and ability to expel much emotion and focus. (Local 662, St. Petersburg)
Alchemy Fest 11 The 11th annual edition of the family-friendly music-packed fest features a solid lineup of local talent; on the main stage (and in the order they perform) are The Bird Tribe, Ronnie Dee and The Superstars, Oxford Noland, DEA & SAINT and Sun Signs, while the smaller Sanctuary stage features sets by Infinite Third, Mountain Holler, LILITH and Ed Woltil. Yoga, belly dancing, spoken word, a vendor-packed marketplace and other unexpected diversions round out the day’s offerings. (First Unity Campus, St. Petersburg)
