Basement Sessions w/Telekinetic Walrus/Queen of Ex Carter/Gat$/Leisure Chief/Fr33dback/Blinsky/The Txlips/DJ Qeys/Wally Clark Finally. It’s back. After what felt like a forever hiatus, this concert and art show series returns to Ybor City for a night of experimental psychedelic trip-hop (Telekinetic Walrus), chocolate grrl-rock (The Txlips), electropop (Fr33dback), rap (Queen of Ex, Gat$, Blinsky) and funk (Leisure Chief). What makes this underground art-party even more exciting is the fact that more than a dozen of Tampa Bay’s best visual artists (think muralists Michelle Sawyer and Bekky Beukes, plus illustration giants Michael Miller and Conrad Garner) will be showcasing at one of the district’s best underutilized venues. (Lot 1901, Ybor City) INFO
Wimps w/Sallow/Seafang/NMBRS Seattle’s Wimps bring a 2015 Kill Rock Stars release (Suitcase) to east Tampa for night of awkward, lo-fidelity rock songs that are remarkably short in length yet strangely long in the tooth as far as the way the full-time slackers and part-time punks take the banalities of everyday living and turn them into blasts of headbanging rawk. (Transitions Art Gallery, Tampa) INFO
Jeremy Gloff’s Summer Dance Party w/Shae Krispinsky/Entropy/Achilles the Conqueror/JT Salazar/DJ $tephmoney Long-running, perennially celebrated Tampa songwriter and activist Jeremy Gloff pulled a cot damn Beyoncé on everyone by surprising releasing his 21st album, Lightrail, out of nowhere. Gloff, 42, told CL that “this has been my biggest kept secret since…well I won’t tell you those straight guys’ names.” Watch a video from the album below. Listen to the full LP and read our Q&A with Gloff here. (New World Brewery, Ybor City) INFO

Shroud Eater w/Druid Lord/Ulcer/BeerWolf/Spar Miami Stoner-sludge outfit Shroud Eater has a new LP in the works (Strike the Sun, due July 7 via STB Records) and here’s to hoping that Jean Saiz, Janette Valentine and Davin Sosa unleash a pleasing set of doom rock at this one where bands from Orlando and the Bay area open the show. (Brass Mug, Tampa) INFO
St. Petersburg Pride w/Jennifer Real/Panamory/Derek Dean/Christopher Thomas/Rolando Xavier/Karmic Tattoo Bands help celebrate St. Pete Pride. Read our chat about sex-aliens with kink-synth outfit Panamory here. (Wells Fargo Stage, Downtown St. Pete near 5th Ave. N. and Bayshore Drive) INFO
Junteenth Gospel Concert w/Au’Niece The Church of Scientology’s Flag Service Organization hosts a gospel gig with New York duo Au’Niece all to honor the emancipation of American slaves 152 years ago. It’s a night recognizing human rights at Scientology’s purty Fort Harrison Hotel — what do you think about that? (Fort Harrison Hotel, Clearwater) INFO
WMNF Record and CD sale No fucking early birds, okay? This one isn’t technically a live music event, but it is a tried and true Tampa tradition where community radio station WMNF welcomes its tribe to dig through stacks and stacks of vinyl and CDs. Ever wondered what nearly forty years of record collecting looks like? Head to east Tampa on Saturday to see for yourself. (WMNF Studios, Tampa) INFO
