Hideaway Cafe Celebrates 8 Years w/Joseph Bonfiglio/Fran Snyder /Kate Reuter/Miggie /Michael J Weiss/John Kelly Band/Rebekah Pulley/Danielle DeCosmo It’s hard to pinpoint what’s more exciting about this. Slow cooked pulled pork sliders from the Hideaway Café’s John Kelly or the fact that the bastion of St. Petersburg songwriting is celebrating eight trips around the sun. You’ll have plenty of company to answer that question with when a rotating cast of musicians take turns on the mic for an all day feast and celebration that kicks off at 2 p.m. (Hideaway Café, St. Petersburg) INFO

Wolf-Face w/You Vandal/DRUG It’s been a quite a while since we got a live set from our favorite furry punk rock band, but the Wolf-Face pack always comes out when the Bay area gets a visit from Gainesville punks You Vandal. DRUG — who were a hot spot on a recently released comp that included C.H.E.W., Vivian K and Permanent Makeup — open this free show. (The Bends, St. Petersburg) INFO

Divorce Ring w/Virgin Flower/Burnt Hair/Apoc Siren/Invade Kelby Clark (aka Divorce Ring) plays in St. Pete before this Tampa experimental and noise show which also features the beat-noir of Jacksonville’s Virgin Flower, post pop punk from Burnt Waste and the debut show for noise punk trio Invade. Arijit Singh If you’re reading this and wondering who Arijit Singh is, then you might want to turn an ear towards the roughly 1,310,069,000 people who live in India and count the 29 year old playback singer as a household name (playback music is widely used in Bollywood — India’s massive film industry — and finds pre-recorded voices from singers who don’t actually appear on screen). Singh was a runner up on India’s Fame Gurukul reality show, but has done just fine for himself since appearing on songs like “Kabira” and “Illahi,” which are two of the biggest hits Bollywood has ever seen. Portugal. The Man At some point in the near future, fans are finally going to get to hear Woodstock, the new album from Alaska rock band Portugal. The Man. It’ll be the first collection of new tunes from John Gourley in more than three years, and the effort’s lead single, “Feel It Still” (which they’ll perform at soundcheck with a bunch of local kids) is enjoying a nice bit of attention from an expected voice, Alex Jones. The Infowars reptile took offense to the song’s music video where a man was seen reading a burning copy of a newspaper that shared a name with Jones’ questionable internet news site. Read our Q&A with the band here before they hit Saint Petersburg to give fans a taste of the new record. (Jannus Live, St. Petersburg) INFO

Darude Anyone over the age of 30 can hear the beat of Darude’s 1999 hit “Sandstorm” in their head right now. The 41 year old producer from Finland hasn’t really had a global hit since, and it’ll be interesting to see how the mostly tween partygoers at the Amphitheatre’s Ritz Ybor take overs actually take to a set from the man born Toni-Ville Henrik Virtanen. (The Ritz, Ybor City) INFO

Primavera Music Festival w/Ethan Parker/Have Gun, Will Travel/The Black Honkeys/Soul Circus Cowboys To be clear, this one has nothing to do with Barcelona’s famed Primavera Sound, but it does feature a helicopter easter egg drop and a few of CL local favorites playing tunes to help organizers raise funds for Project Primavera, a Palm Harbor non-profit that helps orphans orphans and at-risk kids receive free music lessons from top professional musicians in their desired field of study.
