Allen Stone Despite being busy touring this spring’s festival circuit and opening up for rock/R&B legends Hall & Oates, Allen Stone still makes time to visit downtown Clearwater’s gem of a venue — Capitol Theater. We saw Allen, 30, bring his brand of Washington state R&B and soul to Okeechobee Music Festival in March, where he also took part in the Pow Wow! Superset with Michael McDonald, Solange and more. The former church choir boy dropped out of community college to pursue music, and eventually it no. 2 on R&B charts thanks to a self-titled LP that had critics calling him a “pitch perfect powerhouse.” A wild stage presence will make for an energetic show inside of Pinellas’s smaller theaters.
