Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals w/Lillie Mae SunFest spillover! There is a party happening in West Palm Beach this weekend, and while the Bay area isn’t getting visits from Blink-182, Weezer or 3 Doors Down (that’s a good or bad thing, depending on your tastes) we are getting to experience this bill, which puts one of roots rock’s longest-tenured songwriters — Ben Harper — on the Jannus Live stage where he’ll support a 2016 LP, Call It What It Is. The effort is Harper’s first with the Innocent Criminals since 2007’s Lifeline, and the band recently started playing together again in 2015. Lillie Mae — a country music maverick who played fiddle for Jack White — plays support. (Jannus Live, St. Petersburg) INFO
