Bertie Higgins Show and The Band of Pirates Trop-rock owes a lot to Sir Bertie Higgins. (Ya damn right, he's a knight beeotch, but he was knighted by the Imperial Order of Culture and Peace, not the Order of the British Empire who knighted other musicians like Elton John and Paul McCartney).
And while Elbert "Bertie" Joseph Higgins isn't Greek, he is making Tarpon Springs proud. Tonight he drives over to Largo for a show where he'll play songs like "Key Largo," "Casablanca" and "Just Another Day in Paradise." Take a lick below.
