A nice serving of live music coming to you on this Wed., Feb. 3. Find out what's happening on Hump Day below.

Black Violin Wilner “Wil B” Baptiste (viola) and Kevin “Kev Marcus” Sylvester (violin) are Black Violin, a South Florida duo who fuse classical music chops with hip hop influences, pitting their virtuosic string-play against groove-and-beat-driven production, and bringing another dimension of drama to compositions touching on pop and R&B, too. Major label debut Stereotypes dropped last year, was produced by Eli Wolf (Norah Jones, The Roots & Elvis Costello), and features notable guest spots by legendary emcees Black Thought (The Roots) and Pharoahe Monche, esteemed pianist Robert Glasper, and R&B songstresses Melanie Fiona and Kandice Springs. (Ferguson Hall at Straz Center for Performing Arts, Tampa)–Leilani Polk

Cradle of Filth with Butcher Babies, Ne Obliviscaris With a sound meant to invoke our deepest fears, British extreme metal act Cradle of Filth hits hit town in support of 2015 release, Hammer of the Witches. The band combines crushing death metal blast beats with gothic symphonic overtones that bring both depth and tension to an already unsettling stage show that brims with special effects and disturbing visuals. (State Theatre, St. Petersburg) –Justin Croteau

BBQ Wednesday Acoustic Series: Radio Birds For this edition of the BBQ series, the grub is served with fiery ‘70s-channeling blues-driving rock n’ roll from Radio Birds, which hail from Atlanta and are led by the raspy lead howls of guitarist frontman Justin Keller. (New World Brewery, Ybor City)–LP

For Today with Like Moths To Flames, Phinehas, Vanna, Forthteller Iowa’s For Today – which hits town in support of sixth album Wake – combines metalcore viciousness with extreme dedication to Christianity, the deep and penetrating lead growls of vocalist Mattie Montgomery and breakdown-heavy riffing offset by more melodic solos of guitarist Ryan Leitru. For Today is known for using shows as a ministry platform, and dedicate a portion of each set to spreading their religious dogma. (Orpheum, Ybor City) –JC
