We'd like to open this Valentine's Day edition of our live music roundup by reminding you that you could always just come to the office tonight and play video games with the First United Church of Nintendo. The fun kicks off at 6 p.m. EST, and more information on the free event is available on Facebook.

Still, if you want some live music, then go get it below.

Bon Jovi Three months after jamming onstage with then vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine at St. Pete’s State Theatre, Jon Bon Jovi is crossing the Bay to make sure that Tampa gets shot through the motherfucking heart, too (to be honest, we’re all still a little dazed and confused after candidate Trump’s win). The tour is in celebration of Bon Jovi’s 14th studio LP, This House is Not For Sale, which was released in November. (Amalie Arena, Tampa) INFO

Glen Phillips Do not scream for “Walk on the Ocean” at this one. It’s far to tranquil at Rock Brothers Brewing’s new listening room, and there’s actually a pretty decent chance that Glen Phillips will actually play the song anyway since other Toad The Wet Sprocket tunes like “California Wasted,” “Crowing,” and “Golden Age” have been in the rotation these days. Expect to hear mostly solo output that the 46 year old songwriter has been working on for a decade a half, and be attentive to the stuff from Swallowed by the New, and album born out of the end of his marriage. Richard Thompson w/Blind Boys of Alabama While they are frequent visitors to the area, there is never a good reason to not pay respect to the Blind Boys of Alabama, who’ve been contributing to the lifeblood of gospel for nearly a century now. Grammys as White House appearances aside, performances from the Boys (who first started performing at the Alabama Institue for the Negro Blind) are soul stirring experiences. They’re joined by acclaimed guitarist Richard Thompson on the bill, and you can read Eric Snider’s interview with one of Rolling Stone’s Top 20 guitarists of all time here.
