A few noteworthy shows of heady and heavy persuasions are happening in St. Pete on this Tue., Feb. 16. Take a look at the breakdown below
Br’er with PLEASURES, STOIC, Gay St Pete Housewives Formerly the solo recording project of Philly native music maker Benjamin Schurr, currently touring as a fully-banded entity hitting cities across the U.S. (including the Bends on this night), Br’er finds Schurr and his rotating cast of collaborators creating dark, experimental dance tracks that are awash in synths, spliced with industrial flotsam and electro accoutrements, and finished with down-tempo pulses or more strident pounding beats. (The Bends, St. Petersburg)–Leilani Polk
Warbringer with Enforcer, Cauldron, Exmortus Cali outfit Warbringer captures the high speed crunch of old school thrash metal, adding modern distortions and other sonic flairs to refine it while still maintaining the bludgeoning appeal. Enforcer brings Swedish heavy metal flavor to the tour bill, and support a 2015 fourth LP, From Beyond. (Orpheum, Ybor City) –Justin Croteau
