San Francisco area band Ceremony earned some minor buzz following a signing to Matador Records and release of fourth studio album Zoo, marking a departure from their raw hardcore punk ferocity. Latest album The L-Shaped Man – which dropped in March – turns to dour, post-punk/Dark Wave territories favored by bands like Joy Division and Depeche Mode. Fellow Frisco Tony Molina (Dystrophy, Ovens) rages grungy fuzzed-out odes with metallic solos hearkening back to his Thin Lizzy influences. 6 p.m. doors, Epic Problem, Tampa, $12-$14 (all ages).
