Dynasty Album Release Party w/Queen of Ex/Venue Bleu/Demi Nova Without a doubt, Diana Hardy is one of the brightest lights in the Tampa Bay community. Her outreach efforts and work with area youth leave a positive, empowered mark on young lives, and her music — which she performs under the Dynasty moniker — goes the same route. More than half a decade after her 2010 Dreampusher mixtape catapulted her into the consciousnesses of hip hop fans across the world (she was even featured on an album with DJ Premier) the Queens, New York originating emcee is back with a new full-length, Forever, DY, anchored by lead single “Be” where D-Weezy hits listeners over the head with a reminder to combat self esteem issues and move through life with confidence. Hardy spend the end of September and the first week of October in Europe playing shows in Germany, France, Sweden and Italy so she should be hyped to be back in front of her hometown crowd. Crowbar’s old-school hip-hop, funk, reggae and soul party Ol’ Dirty Sundays is happening directly after this show meaning that the whole of the evening will fully encapsulate everything that’s right in the Bay area hip hop community. Rocktoberfestival Lip Sync Contest Okay, we’ll bite. This is one isn’t exactly a concert, but watching folks lip synch it out for a $250 cash prize all while stuffing our gut with the Brunch Burger or mac & cheese bar sounds like a good plan. (Peggy O’s Kitchen and Taps, Palm Harbor) INFO
