Eric Church Eric Church is known for songs like “Springsteen,” “Talladega” and “Record Year,” but we’re going to applaud the country singer (who celebrates a birthday a day before this Tampa show) for what he did earlier this year. In case you forgot, Church and his team have been vigilant in their quest to manually identify and then cancel scalper tickets before giving them back to fans (304 tickets for this show were reneged). "They buy thousands of tickets across the U.S., not just mine, and they end up making a fortune," Church told The Associated Press. "They use fake credit cards, fake IDs. All of this is fraud." Looks like the “Like Jesus Does” singer really does walk to walk. (Amalie Arena, Tampa) INFO
Tech N9ne w/Brotha Lynch Hung/Krizz Kaliko/Stevie Stone/Ces Crew Oddball rapper Tech N9ne wants a redo on a fall tour that apparently led him to go into a depression, gain weight and use alcohol to deal with a divorce that had him tumbling down a terrible path. Well, this is it, and the horrorcore emcee looks be rejuvenated on this tour where he’ll support his 2016 LP, The Storm, which features a head-scratchingly good list of featured artists including Gary Clark Jr., Logic and even Jonathan Davis of Korn. Rock the Park w/Gringo Starr/Joshua Cruz/Sophie Noelle Ah, the national touring nexus was good to Rock The Park once again, and this installment drops Atlanta psych-rockers Gringo Star onto Bob Buckhorn’s personal playground for a set of 1960s inspired garage rock that is heavy on the surfy reverb, power pop melodies and punk-ish lyrical panache. Hometown singer-songwriters Joshua Cruz and Sophie Noelle open the show. (Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Tampa) INFO

Terroir 001: Starter w/Zachary Hale/Sean Hamilton/Susanna Hancock/G. Blake Harrison-Lane/Tyler Kline/Baljinder Sekhon This one is heady. Local composers will present new works at the c. 1949 beer garden where a $25 ticket gets you a flight of six beers (30 ounces total). “The title for this concert alludes to the culture needed to start the fermentation process of many foods and alcohols (such as sourdough bread, or solera-aged liquors),” Terroir co-artistic director Susanna Hancock wrote in a release. “We find it fitting, as this concert is the ‘starter’ for what we hope is many awesome concerts, seasons, and collaborations for years to come.”(C.1949 Florida Beer Garden, Tampa) INFO
Period Bomb w/DRUG/Piss Ghost Nothing is sacred anymore. Miami punk band Period Bomb describes itself as the “worst band in the world guaranteed to make u peed blud!,” and it’s sonic discharge is no holds barred as well (titles include the Ovary Acting EP and Red, Wet & Bruised live tour tape). What shouldn’t be overlooked, however, is how much fun songs like “Gnarly Princess,” Lightnin’” and “Get Out Of My Life Creep” really are. BOTB-winning trio trio Piss Ghost open the show along with Tampa dope boys DRUG. (Lucky You Tattoo, Seminole) INFO
