Harry & The Potters with Empire Cinema, DieAlps! If you’ve been pining for JK Rowling’s bespectacled young hero, never fear – the brothers-led band that uses the Harry Potter books as the basis for all of its material and spurred a whole new genre of music (wizard rock) is still active even though the series is done. Harry and the Potters lead this free in-store, joined by local alt rockers Empire Cinema and Mojo favorite baroque pop-waltzers, DieAlps!. The USF Quidditch team presides, the coffee bar serves butterbeer lattes, and admission is cheap as hell ($5 general, $3 ages 18 and younger). 8 p.m., Mojo Books & Records, Tampa.
Victor Alvarez, Michael Frazier, The Dogwood Tales, The Florida Rooms Two Virginia-area acts – folk-punk singer-songwriter Michael Frazier and banjo-guitar Appalachian roots duo The Dogwood Tales – join Victor Alvarez (of Awkward Age) for another Monday night in-store, this one at Microgroove. Entry is free but donations for the touring artists are appreciated. 7 p.m., Microgroove, Tampa.
