You know, they're showing Die Hard at Reservoir Bar, and another New Granada band is playing with Korn for a south coast tour, but we're most excited about this tradition happening tonight starting at 8 p.m. EST (don't get there any earlier though because no one will be there).
New Granada Xmas Extravaganza w/Career (LP Release Show)/Permanent Makeup/Expert Timing/Pajamas This is your chance to see Jeff and Katrina Snyder in action (they’re the husband and wife who could not play with Awkward Age on Friday). It’ll be with their own band, Expert Timing, and it’ll be alongside one of Tampa’s most exciting bands, Career, who will be releasing their new 16-minute release “Pattern Finders/Vermicomposting” onto one-sided, 12-inch, hand cut clear vinyl. Career frontman Ryan Fouche's spoken word delivery is angry and always enlightening, plus he’s got one of the best bands in town (Matt Ostraco on bass, Sulynn Hago on guitar and drummer Leo Suarez actually we think Poultry's Danny Piechocki — who is a different, but also über-talented, animal of his own — is playing drums for this show) to back him up. New Granada Presents wasn’t as active in traditional venues this year, but their annual Christmas night show is perennially one of the year’s best shows and and an opportunity to spend quality time with your music loving friends and family. The news of future residential development potentially forcing a New World relocation easily makes this the most sentimental show of the season. Two St. Pete bands — electro pop maker Pajamas and punk outfit Permanent Makeup — open the show. (New World Brewery, Ybor City) INFO
