Koly P w/DJ Zay Over the summer Sunshine State rapper Koly P made waves with “Viral,” a highlight from his Koly Luther King LP where he gets an assist from Kodak Black and Boosie BadAzz. This is another one of those late night club shows, so fans hoping for a full set may want to temper their expectations. (Whiskey North, Tampa) INFO
Smithereens w/Four Star Riot These Jersey boys brought the ‘60s to the ‘80s in their heyday, and now the Smithereens are bringing that famous sound to Largo. What’s more is that this is an inarguably legit reunion since the four original members of the Smithereens (Pat DiNizio, Jim Babjak, Dennis Diken, and founding bassist Mike Mesaros) will actually be on stage together. Fans may remember that the crew reunited back in October for a benefit in honor of a benefit show being held for bassist Jim Babjak’s wife Betty who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer last year. Death is never a good thing, but the Smithereens seems to have found something of a silver lining. (Largo Cultural Center, Largo) INFO
Florida Orchestra Coffee Concerts: Taste of Russia It’s another one of those super early Florida Orchestra shindigs you’re probably reading in print an hour too late. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. EST (early for us club rats) with a pre-concert chat before conductor Stuart Malina works through Persian dances by Modest Mussorgsky, Russian Easter festival overtures by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Alexander Borodin’s “Symphony No. 2 Finale.” Get ahead of the next coffee concert by bookmarking cltampa.com/music. Keep Flexin Tour w/Rich The Kid If you don’t know Fetty Wap, Soulja Boy or Wiz Khalifa, then you definitely haven’t heard of Rich The Kid (who's collaborated with all the aforementioned rap stars). It’s your loss though since the 24 year old, Queens-born, Atlanta-repping rapper born Dimitri Leslie Roger is already making waves in 2017. It’s mostly thanks to “Gorgeous,” his wavy new collaboration with Manhattan emcee Famous Dex and Atlanta’s ThouxanbandFauni (these new rappers’ names are a spell-checkin’ good time). Expect the Kid to flex that swagger at this show. (Orpheum, Ybor City) INFO
