It's Friday the 13th. Spooky. Here's some live music for ya – highlights plus a more comprehensive breakdown for your planning convenience.

Swimm with Zulu Wave, Bellows SWIMM has changed names and locales a few times while evolving their style, from the trippy electro-infused blues-garage of 2011’s Bim Bom – when they were a Florida duo known as Le Blorr – to the more mature, textured psych rock of recent EPs like Feel and Souvenirs, which find Chris Hess and Adam Winn based in LA and joined by a few additional players. (New World Brewery, Ybor City) –Leilani Polk & Seth Peterson

Yonder Mountain String Band with Horse Feathers The jam scene’s favorite newgrass ensemble, Yonder Mountain String Band, has a keen handle on melody, pairs precision musicianship with improvisational chops, and has a repertoire of high quality original songwriting as well as a wellsprong of covers they’ve branded as their own, like “Girlfriend Is Better” by Talking Heads and The Beatles’ “Hey Bulldog.” On this tour, guitarist Adam Aijala, banjo player Dave Johnston (banjo, vocals) and bassist Ben Kaufmann are joined by special guests Jake Jolliff (mandolin) and Allie Kral (fiddle). (Jannus Live, St. Petersburg)

Harry Connick, Jr. Would you believe Harry Connick, Jr. has recorded and released upwards of 25 albums? Not to mention all the films he’s starred in, Broadway roles he’s taken on, American Idol hopefuls he’s mentored and judged … All this in the midst of active touring. He returns to the Bay area with his buttery croon and piano-fueled pop-jazz tunes on his latest round of dates. (Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater)
