Hey Jupiter, whimsical singer-songwriter Tori Amos has announced a massive run of summer shows in the U.S., including a three-date Florida run that ends in Clearwater.

Yesterday, the 62-year-old singer-songwriter announced that her next record, In Times of Dragons, drops May 1. Per Amos, the album—which she first soft-announced in October—reflects on “the current abhorrent non accidental burning down of democracy in real time by the ‘Dictator believing Lizard Demons’ in their usurpation of America.”

And to add insult to injury, Amos’ father Rev. Dr. Edison McKinley Amos, whose undying love and support for his daughter was Amber and Scott Swift level, died last summer at 96. So don’t be shocked if Dragons ends up becoming the cornflake girl’s most personal work yet.

Joining her on the road this year are longtime collaborators and “brothers” Jon Evans on bass and Ash Soan on drums. And for the first time, a trio of female indie singer-songwriters—unofficially called “Tori’s Angels”—Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka, and Hadley Kennary will be on hand to provide backing vocals for the new songs. Indie up-and-comer Bartees Strange opens.

Tickets to see Tori Amos play Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall on Friday, July 10 go on sale this Friday, Jan. 23, and start at $55.
