Tampa is the death metal capital of the world thanks to Morrisound studio and bands like Obituary and Cannibal Corpse which have connections to our neck of the woods.

To celebrate that history, the Tampa Bay Museum of Metal brings artifacts—think gear, instruments, posters, flyers—for a two-day exhibition that includes guest appearances from members of Brutality, Heaven’s Gate, and more, along with a market and performances, too. Even Tarpon Springs’ Savatage gets a nod.

To keep you oiled up, Magnanimous Brewing’s Seminole Heights location has a special “Tampa Bay Museum of Metal Beer.”

There’s no cover, but donations will be accepted, for the Historic Florida Metal Exhibition happening Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 25-26 at Magnanimous Brewing in Tampa.
