Despite this year’s release of The Wretched; the Ruinous, Boston-based metalcore band Unearth has brought in Peter Layman—formerly of math rock outfit Apiary—to fill in for founding rhythm guitarist Ken Susi, currently on hiatus from recording and touring with the band. Fellow Bostonian group Revocation—which opens Unearth’s first gig in town since 2018—is down to a trio at this point, and played Orpheum earlier this year, promoting its own new record, Netherheaven.

Tickets to see Unearth with Revocation, Entheos, High Command play Tampa’s Orpheum on Saturday, Oct. 7 are still available, and cost $25.
