John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers which helped solidify the careers of Eric Clapton and Peter Green. And while the band was already past its prime by the 1980s, Walter Trout stood in Slowhand’s shoes for half a decade following the band’s reformation.

The 72-year-old Jersey boy even credits Carlos Santana for saving him from a life of drugs and alcohol, after ‘los told Trout that getting onstage fucked up was giving the finger to God.

Tickets to see Walter Trout play Tampa’s Skipper’s Smokehouse on Sunday, Nov. 19 are still available and cost $20.
