Seven months ago, rock photographer & filmmaker Danny Clinch teamed up with Sqaurespace to release a 22-minute documentary about the rise of Texas-based soul revivalist Leon Bridges, who plays a can't miss show tomorrow.

On the eve of the 27-year-old’s Bay area debut at Ruth Eckerd Hall, we couldn’t resist re-sharing the film, which is a quiet, introspective look into Bridges’s life as a working artist. Admittedly, the CL camp was curious about how it really happened, and we were bummed upon getting denied an interview with the singer. Bridges sheds a lot of light on everything in This Home.

“They way I dress is life for me. People assume that when they see somebody bring back an old sound, and he’s on a big label, it’s something like the perfect package the label created,” Bridges says at one point. “They don’t know the back story.”
