Cool isnโ€™t dead in this darkwave wife-and-husband duo. A few years ago, the police were called on Johnny and Angela Yeagherโ€”aka Dead Coolโ€”while filming a music video for a single, โ€œStranger Kindโ€ (another โ€˜80s-esque banger that sounds like it could have easily served as a lead single on a Howard Jones Halloween album).

As if that isnโ€™t enough of a rock and roll story to tell, a fan recently showed the two her tattoo of the songโ€™s title written in cursive, which lead to said fan being added to every Dead Coolโ€™s guestlist for life. Dead Cool is still new enough to rip through its entire discography at what appears to be its Tampa debutโ€”but with less poppy but just-as-dark rock outfit Vazum and Brooklynโ€™s Guilty By Design also by the bill, you might as well pay the sitter a little extra.

Tickets to see Dead Cool play the music hall at New World Brewery in Tampa on Saturday, Jan. 25 are still available and start at $15.
