WMNF’s listenership includes fans that appreciate a wide swath of genres, and this show (happening on the same night as the community radio station’s big Americana Fest at Skipper’s) brings together three bands that’ll intrigue fans of synth-driven dance music meant to be played in the dark (Aeon Rings) and creepy goth-rock (Entertainment, playing its only Florida show). Bonus points since organizers got Phil Taylor to revive his new wave, post-punk Sleeping Pills project for the show.

WMNF Twist In the Dark: Entertainment w/Sleeping Pills/Aeon Rings/DJ Mike Carlton. Sat. Aug. 10, 8 p.m. $13-$15. Crowbar, Ybor City. wmnf.org.
