Captured in a dynamic low-angle shot during a live venue show, a guitarist wearing a dark jacket over a black shirt sings passionately into an unseen microphone while playing a dark brown Gibson SG electric guitar on stage. Spectators in the front row raise their hands in excitement, surrounded by dark, atmospheric stage lighting featuring bright blue spotlights and a warm orange overhead beam.

For the first “Ybor Horror” concert since the closure of long-running indie venue Crowbar, bands have moved the show a few blocks east to the loading dock at Coppertail Brewing.

Genre-jumping rock band Discord Theory (which has one of the most entertaining live sets in Tampa) anchors the lineup and is joined by punk outfit Cozy In The Black and Orlando metal group Flagman which brings a Fest-centric Florida leg to Tampa before a swing through the Midwest and Eastern Seaboard.

Costume contest prizes include entry into a year of shows hosted by FMAM, cash and band merch.

Tickets to see Flagman, Discord Theory, Sky Navy, Persephone’s Choice, Cozy In The Black, and He Kindly at Coppertail Brewing in Tampa on Saturday, Oct. 24 are still available and start at $15.

Pitch in to help make the Tampa Bay Journalism Project a success.
