Indie-pop sibling trio AJR is hours away from releasing its new album The Maybe Man, and the boys have announced their first-ever arena tour to go along with it, which stops at Tampa’s Amalie Arena this summer.

Tickets to see AJR play Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Thursday, May 9 go on sale next Friday, Nov. 17, and start at $49.50.

With the exception of 2020, Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met have been to Tampa Bay every year this decade, having played after a Tampa Bay Rays game at Tropicana Field, and then twice beforehand at the ol’ Gary, one of which was for a special performance of “Record Player” with Daisy The Great at the 2021 iteration of 97x Next Big Thing.

The Maybe Man was initially announced as a “new era” around this time last year, but there are tracks on the album (more specifically, “God Is Really Real”) inspired by the decline and eventual death of the Mets’ father last summer.
