Black Pumas, Revivalists and Trombone Shorty lead initial 2022 lineup for Gasparilla Music Festival

The three day party happens Feb. 25-22 in downtown Tampa.

Grammy-nominated Austin, Texas psych rock band Black Pumas leads the initial 2022 lineup for Tampa's Gasparilla Music Festival (GMF). Joining the group led by Eric Burton are Adrian Quesada are New Orleans rock band The Revivalists and 2014 GMF alum Trombone Shorty.

The three-day party goes down February 25-27 at Curtis Hixon Park and Kiley Garden.
More bands are set to be announced, but also announced in the initial lineup today are Southern-rock favorite The Allman Betts Band, soul legend Mavis Staples, old-school hip-hop group Arrested Development, complicated (read: controversial) emo band Pinegrove, The Aces and Andy Frasco & the U.N.

Notable locals on the lineup include fast rising country singer Kenzie Wheeler, Wave Theory rapper K.III, space-rock outfit The Venus and more.

GMF Executive Director David Cox told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that a daily lineup and second wave artists should be announced as the festival approaches next year. Early bird tickets for GMF are still available and start at $45.
