Mod Son returns to Tampa on Monday to open for Palaye Royale

Avril Lavigne’s fiancee was the only act at last year’s 97X Next Big Thing to request the formation of a mosh pit. “If you see anyone on the fucking ground, pick ‘em up!” he demanded.

The 35-year-old who back in Tampa Bay for a show at The Ritz Ybor on Monday, Sept. 19 also made his crowd pinky-promise that we’d come back to see him the next time he dropped into town. Nine months later, who the hell are we to break a promise to Mod Sun?

The flamboyant, eclectic emcee-slash-songwriter opens for Palaye Royale’s first Tampa Bay show since 2018’s Warped Tour.
