When it comes to country music, few names elicit the kind of excitement Charley Crockett does.

Armed with a classic country sound and a big voice that could blanket the south, the 38-year-old, road-tested and fast-rising songwriter had a bust 2021 that saw him release two albums—10 For Slim: Charley Crockett Sings James Hand and Music City USA—as a follow up to his acclaimed 2020 release Welcome To Hard Times.
Now Tampa gets to see what all the fuss is about when Crockett brings his "Jukebox Charley" tour to Tampa Theatre on Tuesday, March 22. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. and  start at $24.50.  The show, as far as we can tell is Crockett's Tampa debut (CL reached out to Crockett to see if he stopped here in his train-hopping days), and should be a fine intro to one of America's finest purveyors of country that also touches R&B, soul, Cajun and western swing. Fellow Texas songwriter Vincent Neil Emerson will open Crockett's Tampa Theatre gig.
