A 54-year-old man has purchased a scratch-off ticket worth $1 million in Safety Harbor.

According to the Florida Lottery, John Nolan played the new $1,000,000 Gold Rush Classic game, which he bought at First Choice Food & Deli on Phillippe Parkway, and won.

The ticket costs $5.

Nolan opted to receive his prize as the one-time lump sum of $705,000. First Choice will also score a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning scratch-off ticket.

Launched in January, $1,000,000 Gold Rush Classic offers more than $200.5 million in prizes. The game’s overall odds of winning are one in 3.97.
