The Hillsborough County School District will spend $18 million on new textbooks for K-12 students to comply with state standards. Teachers throughout the district voted on which new textbooks to implement.
A committee made up Hillsborough Classroom Teachers Association members, non-members, administrators and parents reviewed textbooks for each course using state guidelines, and selected the top two titles for a district-wide teacher vote.
