St. Petersburg will start looking for a new design for the Pier after the city council voted on Thursday, June 16 to confirm the Pier design competition process and the jury that will oversee it.
The process is set to begin on June 19. Firms will be asked to submit their qualifications. From there, 10 will be asked to submit ideas to the jury. Three teams will receive $50,000 each to submit design concepts, which will be received in November.
